England v Pakistan: England innings
So, England have set Pakistan 186 to win. A better performance this time, although still the suspicion that it could have been more at the half-way point of the innings.
Pietersen’s 58 was the main contribution, but Luke Wright again played well, with 34 off 16 balls. Pietersen has had some criticism for his Twenty20 performances of late, but shows signs of putting that to bed.
England still need to bowl well – Misbah-ul-Haq is likely the key for Pakistan, he averages over 50 in T20 internationals.
We shall see, but at the least they have given themselves a good chance.
