KP out of ODI series
He was off the field on the last day of the recent test. We were told (on TMS) that he was feeling “queasy”. Perhaps not.
For England, this may well be a blessing in disguise where the rest of the summer is concerned. Since the ECB reacted to his criticism of Peter Moores by saying
Actually you’re not captain anymore cos we don’t like you. We were just pretending. And you smell.
he has had to play a full series in the Caribbean, then his stint in the IPL (rightly or wrongly, I don’t care any more so save it) and the two tests against West Indies. Before that he had captained the tour to India (with all it’s behind the scenes stuff) and the Stanford Twenty20 for 20 Of Other People’s Money (funny how nobody includes the last bit isn’t it?).
In contrast to most English people, we are a fan of KP and think that he deserves a break and a chance to recharge his batteries.
And now England can have a proper look at Eoin Morgan as well.
