Over theorised…Over here…
England’s ability to over-theorise and complicate the game of cricket is legendary. Ever since I became involved in Ashes battles, I’ve felt that Australia could rely on some assistance from the England selectors.
So said Ian Chappell some years ago. I like this quote. It is accurate. I could expand into a 700 word treatise explaining why it is accurate and what this means, but I don’t want to fall neatly into this particular pidgeonhole.
