The Ashes: Pathetic England all out for 102
Peter Siddle was supposed to be struggling to keep his place in this team. Today he took 5/21. Never mind.
England fell apart today quicker than my best DIY efforts. You don’t score 102 in the first innings and win the match every week, so we can probably start looking towards the Oval, unless a minor miracle occurs. Stewart Regan will be having a panic attack at the prospect of a 3-day finish.
The best batsman was Matt Prior, who couldn’t stand up at 10.30. The rest looked like they had forgotten which direction to wave the bat in.
Steve Harmison will get the chance to bowl his way onto the winter tour of South Africa, so that he can bowl himself out of the team again in time for May.
