Flintoff out of World Twenty20

We all knew this several weeks ago really, but now it has been confirmed that Adil Rashid will take Freddie’s place
in the England squad.

This means that Flintoff has six weeks to get himself ready for the Ashes, with the possibility of four championship games for Lancashire to hone his match fitness.

Collingwood to be World Twenty20 captain?

According to a snippet in this report from The Times, Paul Collingwood will be confirmed as England captain for the World Twenty20 on Friday.

Which is interesting, considering that a month ago he said he didn’t want to do it.
